Design of solar-pannels at the NEST building of EMPA taking into account special technical specifications in the design process including: limited colours (need of visual colour blending) and exact transparencies of colors; all-over pattern to allow versatile use of the pattern in all directions repeating after four modules.
Inspiration: EMPA is a science institute and this inspired me to use scientific weather- and CFD maps as inspiration. Also I was inspired by the ceiling and lighting design inside the building to create a reference between energy generation (on the outside) and energy use (inside).
